Eye Movement Desensization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is an innovative method of psychotherapy which has been used by trained professionals to help an estimated half a million people of all ages from many different countries.

The focus of EMDR treatment is the resolution of emotional distress arising from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), difficult childhood experiences, or the recovery from the effects of critical incidents such as road traffic accidents, assaults and natural disasters. Other problems treated with EMDR are phobias, panic attacks, anxiety and distress in children.

Another innovative focus of EMDR is helping to build positive resources to support self-esteem and performance enhancement which aims to improve the functioning of people at work, in sports and in performing arts.
